Playset Renovation

Fayetteville, AR

Completed February 2012

Materials: Native Arkansas cypress and cedar

In a home adjacent to the 16th hole at Stonebridge Meadows, the family wanted to protect their current playset from stray golf balls, while also transforming the existing space into something that felt new and would inspire the children's play. For safety, we leveled and re-installed the old structure on concrete footings, replaced some damaged and undersized support parts, and did a thorough check to insure that the old play set was safe to use.

We also added a hand-built cedar lattice screen with almost invisible netting to protect the play area from golf balls. New additions included a bridge that leads to a new play area, with benches surrounding a tree that will be pruned to emerge through the floor of the platform.
